Guidelines for applying
When making decisions concerning the allocation of funds, priority will be based on numerous standards, including, but not limited to:
- Projects that focus on college-wide priorities and/or strategic directions, including improving student success; diversity, equity and inclusion; acceleration of learning; and promoting continued development of the guided pathways model and the Schools at MCC
- Projects that bring new innovations to the campus or area/division
- Projects that impact many students and/or faculty
- Projects that have an impact extending beyond the project timeline/grant cycle
- Projects that are easily transferred or expanded beyond the pilot to other students, classrooms, and/or areas of campus
- Projects considered to be above and beyond course development or other standard responsibilities of the faculty role
- Projects that have measurable outcomes
- Projects for which any technology requests are supported within the current IT support structure or have approval of the IT department
- Projects that fall outside the normal college funding streams (e.g., departmental professional development funds, budgeted operating funds, etc.)
- Projects for which funding is requested for supplies and materials rather than travel or stipends.
- Projects for which the budget clearly corresponds to the project concept and scope
- Projects that do not have continuing costs, or if they do, those costs are supported by other sources
We love to see measurable results that we can share with our donors!
